University Student Assistant-ACE Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader (FALL 2020) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an academic support program that targets historically difficult courses. SI sessions are regularly scheduled, out-of-class review sessions for all students enrolled in a targeted course. The sessions are informal seminars in which students review notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools, and prepare for examinations. Students learn how to integrate course content with reasoning and study skills.
Assistant Director, Continuing Education and Outreach Anniston (McClellan Center), Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Under general supervision of the Director of Continuing Education and Outreach, the Assistant to the Director provides comprehensive administrative support in accomplishing department-based goals. Instructor, MAT Clinical Education Coordinator Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Instructor, Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) for the Master's in Athletic Training program responsible for the clinical education operations, didactic and clinical instruction, and ensuring clinical requirements are met by the athletic training students. The CEC will assist the MAT Director in the comprehensive implementation, operation, and function of the MAT program as needed for seeking and meeting accreditation purposes.
Communications Officer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Under general supervision, the Communications Officer is responsible for processing and prioritizing emergency and non-emergency calls from the JSU community and general public, and for disseminating information to the appropriate public safety personnel. The Communications Officer acts as the communications hub for the entire campus and must be able to quickly assess the situation and dispatch appropriate personnel.
Intern - Internal Audit Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Office of Internal Audit is seeking an Intern(s). This person(s) will work with the Chief Internal Auditor to execute the Internal Audit Plan and related special projects. The person(s) will gain experience in the following: • Documenting processes, identifying risks and controls (or control gaps) via flow charting using Visio; • Designing audit testing programs based on the process documentation and our sampling methodology • Executing audit testing; • Documenting testing results, findings and developing internal control improvement recommendations; • Writing audit reports highlighting findings and recommendations to our business partners, the Board of Trustees (BOT), and President’s Cabinet (Cabinet); • Assisting with policy development (including, but not limited to, writing new policy, updating current policy, working with Subject Matter Experts and the University Executive Council (UEC) through the developmental and approval process); • Attending UEC, BOT and Cabinet meetings when necessary. Hours and focus of work are flexible depending on availability, skills and interest. A commitment of roughly up to 20 hours per week.

Dual Enrollment Counselor Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Dual Enrollment Counselor works directly with dual enrollment students, parents, faculty, and counselors to recruit new students into the program, and to support the students enrolled in the program. The Dual Enrollment Counselor will collaborate with the first-year recruitment team to ensure a seamless transition from high school to first-year enrollment at JSU. With an emphasis on digital marketing, this position will also assist with communication planning and digital marketing in the recruitment and retainment of dual enrollment students.
Senior Director, Graduate Studies Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Senior Director (a) oversees operations of the Office of Graduate Studies; (b) leads and champions the growth, development, quality, and continuation of graduate programs; (c) collaboratively develops and enforces academic and administrative policies and procedures related to graduate education; and (d) fosters collaborative relationships with all faculty, program coordinators, college deans, administrators and off-campus stakeholders serving and served by graduate programs.
Coordinator, Clinical Placements and School Partnerships Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Coordinator of Clinical Placements and School Partnerships functions in coordination and leadership of the clinical experiences component of the education preparation program, serving as the liaison between the various teacher education programs and school systems in scheduling and implementing placement arrangements for undergraduate and graduate clinical experiences. The Coordinator of Clinical Placements and School Partnerships also assists the School of Education academic departments and PK-12 school administrators in establishing mutually beneficial clinical partnerships and practice.
Department Head, Counseling and Instructional Support Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department Head for Counseling and Instructional Support is the educational and administrative head of the Department and shall report directly to the Dean of the School of Education, who is responsible to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs for the successful management of the Department. The Department Head is responsible for supporting and advancing the allied missions of the department, school, academic and other programs, and for enforcing University and Departmental policies and procedures. The Department Head will articulate a shared vision that defines the departments’ standard of excellence, the directions of growth for the department, and the programmatic and interdisciplinary connections that are possible across the university.
