Coordinator, LRC Facilities and Conservation Fort Payne (Little River Canyon Center)
Under the direction of the Director of EPIC, the Coordinator of LRC Facilities and Conservation coordinates and assists in directing operational activities related to maintenance, repair, custodial care, minor construction, alterations, and management of the grounds, buildings and other physical facilities of the Little River Canyon (LRC) Center. This position ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and University policies and procedures. The Coordinator also oversees, executes, completes, and inspects all the LRC construction and renovation projects.
Director, Faculty Commons Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Director, Faculty Commons provides leadership and vision for the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at Jacksonville State University. This individual is directly responsible for developing strategies, services, and support for faculty and instructional staff that promote effective teaching practices and, indirectly, student success. The Director will facilitate collaborative initiatives with academic and support units across campus that foster best practices in teaching and learning.
Staff Accountant Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Staff Accountant maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
HVAC II Mechanic Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-days.
Assistant Coach, Volleyball Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Assistant Volleyball Coach provides administrative, instructional, and recruiting support services under the direction of the head coach. Employment in this position is contingent upon compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA and Conference affiliation.
Academic Advisor Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Academic Advisor is responsible for providing guidance to students to help recognize and achieve their educational goals, examine academic programs, recognize their academic strengths and select a major; works closely with professors and other university administrators and stay up-to-date on program changes.
Web Developer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Web Developer is responsible for designing, coding, and modifying Jacksonville State University’s website, from layout to function, and according to the university’s established specifications. This role is also responsible for training/instructing Faculty and Staff in the maintenance of respective webpages, and for ensuring visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation, while maintaining a highly visible presence for JSU on the World Wide Web, and in compliance with ADA requirements.
Internal Auditor Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Internal Auditor is responsible for all internal audit activities for financial, operational, and compliance, and for upholding the principles of accountability, transparency, integrity and equity across the University's various functions; for examining and evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of Jacksonville State University’s (JSU) internal control systems, policies, and procedures, and for verifying compliance of financial and operational processes and procedures with established control systems and regulatory requirements; for performing operational and compliance audits and for recommending corrective action(s) to improve operations.
