Pay Range:

Up to $47,500.00 , Commensurate with Experience

Normal Work Schedule:

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday; Some evenings and weekends required

Essential Functions:

 • Assists students and parents with the financial aid process, including, but not limited to assisting with the application process, assisting students with acceptance of federal aid through the Banner software program including the E-Sign process of federal loan promissory notes and required online entrance counseling.
• Oversees activities of the Financial Aid customer service staff.
• Assists with clerical duties, including screening and handling e-mail and telephone communications, greeting and directing visitors.
• Manages escalation of customer service issues; assists with resolving customer issues; responds to inquiries as appropriate, and with disseminating information to customers about the services and programs offered by the Office.
• Completes agency requests for student enrollment and federal funding verification for HUD, food stamps, and other forms as needed by students.
• Utilizes university software programs in the assisting with processing, verification and correction of student aid reports.
• Receives and scans financial aid forms.
• Responsible for the development and facilitation of presentation to stakeholders (on and off campus-high schools, community colleges, and agencies) related to JSU Financial Aid Programs and services.
• Assigns duties to Financial Aid customer service staff as needed.
• Coordinate with on campus and off campus constituents to provide information necessary for completion of financial aid applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree,
• Two (2) years of related experience,
• At least one (1) year of supervisory experience, and

• One (1) year of experience in higher education administration

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of experience in a financial aid office environment
• NASFAA Certification
