Job Summary:

The Coordinator, Jump Start Dual Enrollment Program is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive and collaborative campus wide effort to maximize the recruitment of qualified high school students to participate in the Dual Enrollment program.

Essential Functions:

  •   Assists the AVP of Enrollment Management and Director of Undergraduate Admissions with all aspects of dual enrollment recruitment, marketing, school and public information sessions, student briefings, college fairs and on campus events in support of recruitment for the Jump Start Dual Enrollment Program.
  •   Coordinate the Jump Start Specialist position's territory and duties and communicate with them on the new University procedures affecting Dual Enrollment.
  •   Creates and implements new programs benefiting dual enrollment students/teachers while working toward accreditation with NACEP.
  •   Responsible for recruiting new schools/school systems/teachers/students for participation in the Jump Start Dual Enrollment program.
  •   Supports the professional development of dual enrollment professionals through workshops and annual meetings.
  •   Manages the application processes for the Jump Start Dual Enrollment Program.
  •   Administers the process for credentialing dual enrollment teachers in conjunction with university officials.
  •   Manages dual enrollment scholarship applications and administration. 
  •   Coordinates college placement testing in area high schools for prospective Jump Start Dual Enrollment students.
  •   Collaborate with Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and Student Accounts to ensure seamless delivery of dual enrollment services to participants.
  •   In conjunction with Academic Deans, Department Heads and high school administrators, plans and identifies Jump Start Dual Enrollment courses.
  •   Collaborates with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to analyze data associated with the Jump Start Dual Enrollment program.
  •   Serves as a resource to students, families, faculty and staff regarding the Jump Start Dual Enrollment program.
  •   Serves as the Liaison between the University and local boards of education.
  •   Collaborates with administrators, faculty and students in promoting the student academic and personal achievement within a learning centered environment.
  •   Coordinates scheduling of classes and meeting space. 
  •   Develops communication platforms aimed at high school students, parents, teachers, counselors and administrators.
  •   Travel on behalf of the university to recruit students.
  •   Assist in the planning of on-campus and off-camps recruitment events for dual enrollment students. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, and
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in academic admissions or recruitment, resident life, student counseling or academic advisement at high school or college level
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education or secondary education setting
