Essential Functions:

  • Supports clerical and administrative staff on assigned tasks, which may include typing, filing, scanning documents, answering the phone, greeting visitors, etc.
  • Receives assignments orally or in writing.
  • Reads documents written in English.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Successfully completed COM 302 and COM 320.
  • Highly Proficient with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition Software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Speaks and listens to others, both in person and over the telephone, and speaks to groups.
  • Reads documents written in English.
  • Uses a computer keyboard and monitor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) in English.
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with a diverse body of faculty, staff and students.
  • Possesses relevant academic, computer and administrative skills for the position.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Successfully completed COM 302 and COM 320.
  • Highly Proficient with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition Software.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student taking at least three (3) hours per fall or spring semester.
  • If not a first time student, applicant must have a GPA of 2.50 or higher.
  • Successfully completed COM 302 and COM 320.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition Software.
  • Applicants must attach under "Transcript" an unofficial copy of their student transcript as evident of student enrollment and GPA.

    • Due to Visa requirements international students must be enrolled as a full-time JSU student and possess each of the following:

  5. Official Social Security Card imprinted with “Valid for Work Only” or similar statement.
