University Student Assistant - Game Day Hospitality Services Team Member (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Game Day Experience Hospitality Services Team Member will play a vital role in the success of the football and baseball hospitality program at JAX STATE. The Hospitality Services team serves as goodwill ambassadors to JSU's top donors, their guests, and all fans on game day. Team members will ensure operational policies are maintained for all Game Day areas to include stadium, parking lots, vehicles, tailgates, suites, and club levels. Electrician III Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Electrician III in Capital Planning and Facilities performs skilled installation and electrical maintenance work on the master level in accordance with standard practices of the trade. Assignments are received orally or in writing and may be accompanied by penciled sketches or plans. The Electrician III works independently in carrying the duties through to completion, although a maintenance supervisor may check the work while in process. Completed assignments are tested for operation. Supervision of others may be involved.

University Student Assistant - SSC Peer Tutor - Tutoring Services (Summer 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Provides tutoring to individuals and small groups in the Student Success Center (SSC) located in the Houston Cole Library, 2nd floor. The SSC tutoring program is CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certified. If hired, students are expected to complete 10 hours of training. This position assists students in improving academic achievement, supports students by reviewing and clarifying learning problems, and provides useful study skills to students who need supplemental help. Additionally, peer tutors provide subject-area knowledge and serve as a model for students in the techniques, strategies, attitudes, and beliefs that successful learners employ as they acquire new knowledge, solve problems, and complete academic tasks. Tutors may also provide drop-in tutoring assistance to students based on requests for academic assistance. Tutors must possess knowledge of subject area material beyond a basic level; have excellent communication skills; the ability to provide an active learning experience for students by explaining difficult concepts and providing examples for explorations. Other assistance might include reviewing class material and discussing the text and course content. University Student Assistant - Gamecock Guides (Summer 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Interested in being a student tour guide? The Gamecock Student Tour Guides administer daily tours to potential students and families, along with university employees and partners! As a front facing student leader, the Gamecock Guides are expected to uphold university branding standards, both on and off the clock, while being able to confidently illustrate one’s university knowledge. Gamecock Guides may be required to work event days such as Admitted Student Days, Preview Days and undergo mandatory team training. When not administering a tour, the Gamecock Guides will be assisting with daily administrative tasks such as answering calls, emails, and providing excellent customer service practices. The duties of a front desk assistant in the Student Success Center (SSC) are to provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff, direct students to the appropriate tutor or staff member in the SSC, ensure that students are checked in/out of JSU Navigate, and to assist with monitoring the SSC 2nd floor. Front desk assistants must have strong communication skills and should be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The understanding and compliance of FERPA is mandatory.
