Essential Functions:
The Multimedia Assistant will work as an integral member of the Department of Housing Operations and Residence Life’s Marketing Team to help in reaching our residents/prospective residents through graphic design and marketing materials. This role relies heavily on the ability to create original designs and requires strong visual and written communication skills. This recruitment will also hire Federal Work Study students as well. The Multimedia Assistant will contribute to various projects/campaigns throughout the academic year and will be responsible for the following:
-Designing graphics for Print and Web. -Produce creative content for social media such as Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. -Keep content of flyers and documents up to date. -Maintain University digital board content. -Work in coordination with the JSU Print Shop, prepare files in a print-ready format. -Work university events such as Preview Day, Accepted Students Day, and Summer Orientation sessions. -Perform other duties as assigned. -Federal Work Study applicants must be eligible for Federal Work Study program. Minimum Qualifications:
- Should be working toward a degree in marketing or a related field
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Schedule must allow a minimum of 14 work hours per week
- Must have experience with video creation and be able to show examples of work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Photography and graphic design skills are desired but not required
