The School of Nursing in Jacksonville State University’s College of Health Professions and Wellness invites applications for an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. The Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing provides educational opportunities/experiences to traditional and non-traditional students. Scholarly teaching is an expectation within doctorate and graduate level courses in Nursing along with doctoral level research (oversight and management of DNP scholarly projects which may include advanced data analysis). The faculty member is required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and with possible videoconferencing depending on need.

Federal Work Study - Financial Aid Office Call Center (Fall 2026 - Spring 2027) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
In the Financial Aid Call Center, the Federal Work Study Student will be responsible for answering incoming calls directed to the Call Center with high-quality customer service. As well as making outbound calls to students regarding their Financial Aid status and other enrollment initiatives throughout the year. The Federal Work Study Student will work closely with financial aid staff to assist as needed and to make sure tasks are completed efficiently and on time. University Student Assistant - Randy Owen Center: Guest Services (Summer 2026) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
This position supports event operations and guest services by ensuring a smooth, organized, and welcoming experience for all patrons. The role requires attendance at training sessions and participation in scheduling meetings. Responsibilities include preparing event spaces; moving stanchions and signage; stocking publications; and performing light custodial duties to maintain a clean environment. The position manages crowds and supports events before, during, and after performances, including ticket scanning, concessions assistance, and using ticketing software to sell, exchange, and process returns both in person and over the phone, as well as preparing ticket orders for mail or will call. Working closely with volunteers and event management, the individual serves as a primary point of contact for guests, providing information, assistance, and support throughout each event, while also assisting with setup and cleanup to ensure efficient operations.
University Student Assistant - Randy Owen Center: Tech Apprentices (Sound and Lighting) (Summer 2026) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and changeover of technical systems during rehearsals and performances, ensuring high-quality audio and seamless production support. Duties may include live mixing for performers and/or orchestra, as well as the setup and maintenance of backstage systems, intercoms, and audio and video monitors. The role requires working knowledge of equipment typical of modern sound systems, including wired and wireless technologies, audio-over-IP systems such as the Dante protocol, and frequency coordination; experience with Open Sound Control or recording is a plus. Familiarity with lighting systems, including LED and moving lights, as well as control platforms like the EOS family and DMX over Ethernet, is preferred.
