Federal Work Study - Center for Economic Development and Business Research (Summer 2026) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR) at Jacksonville State University seeks a motivated Federal Work Study student to support applied economic research and community outreach initiatives. CEDBR serves as a regional resource for economic analysis, working with local governments, businesses, chambers of commerce, and regional planning organizations to support economic development across east Alabama. Under the supervision of CEDBR staff, the student will assist with a variety of research and administrative tasks related to ongoing projects and publications. This position provides hands-on experience in economic research, data analysis, and professional consulting services. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs. **Must be eligible for Federal Work Study. Clinical Nursing Instructor Jacksonville, AL (South Complex)
The School of Nursing in Jacksonville State University’s College of Health Professions and Wellness invites applications for an Instructor of Clinical Nursing. This non-tenure-track faculty member will be expected to teach courses and clinical in upper division nursing specifically Foundations of Nursing Practice. The successful candidate will be innovative with a strong interest in teaching students through active learning pedagogy and will demonstrate aptitude and inclination for engaging students in the classroom, clinical, lab, and simulation environment.
HVAC II Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.
Housekeeper II (Night) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Housekeeper II in Building Services performs routine cleaning of interior spaces and the immediate exterior area. Work assignments are primarily indoors and under close supervision.
Painter II Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Painter II performs journeyman level painting and the finishing of surfaces of buildings and other structures and equipment in accordance with standard practices of the trade. While tasks are assigned orally or in written form by a supervisor and achieved with some independence, they are subject to inspection for appearance and workmanship.
