Assistant Professor, Math Education Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Teach courses within Math Education concentration area on campus, off-campus, remote online courses and possible videoconferencing. Responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society. Develop and implement a program of instruction that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of their students and is consistent with the university, SACS accreditation, and state study and curriculum guides. Employ a variety of instructional learning strategies and activities. The University Student Assistant/Chanticleer Editor-in-Chief is required to plan, manage, and supervise the weekly production and distribution of the Chanticleer during the fall and spring semesters. This position is responsible for overseeing the newspaper staff with the assistance of the Manager of Student Media. The Editor-in-Chief must work closely with the faculty advisor on all matters relating to the content and production of the newspaper, and is required to follow The Society of Professional Journalist Code of Ethics.

Graduate Administrative Assistant - Department of Learning Services - Summer 2020 Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The duties of the Graduate Administrative Assistant, under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty and/or staff, as well as other academic support duties, and departmental operational needs, and other associated and clerical duties as assigned.      Positions will be filled based on individual applicant’s skills, qualification and departmental needs.     FALL, SPRING and SUMMER: Graduate administrative assistants are expected to work 20 hours per week during a fall or spring semester, or a full summer term (May, June and July). Graduate administrative assistants working a fall or spring semester will receive $2,080, disbursed in four equal monthly payments, or a full summer term, disbursed in three equal monthly payments. Graduate administrative assistants will also receive a fellowship for 6 to 9 hours of graduate coursework for a fall or spring semester, or full summer term and a waiver of the general university fee.     If you choose to apply for employment as a graduate student at JSU, your transcripts and letters of recommendation will be reviewed by personnel from the units who have posted a graduate administrative assistantship position.
Graduate Teaching Assistant - Department of Learning Services - Summer 2020 Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The duties of the Graduate Teaching Assistant, under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty with various lab related tasks, performing classroom instruction, as well as other academic support duties, and departmental operational needs, and other associated and clerical duties as assigned. Teaching schedule will vary dependent upon lab schedule, lab prep, in class lab time, and post lab work.     Positions will be filled based on individual applicant's skills, qualification and departmental needs.     SUMMER ONLY: Graduate teaching assistants are expected to work 20 hours per week during a full summer term (May, June and July). In some compressed summer terms, workload may increase to twenty-six (26) hours per week under special circumstances. Graduate teaching assistants working during the full summer term will receive $4000 disbursed in three equal monthly payments. Graduate teaching assistants will also receive a fellowship for 1 - 9 hours of graduate coursework for a full summer term and a waiver of the general university fee.      FALL and SPRING ONLY: Graduate teaching assistants are expected to work 20 hours per week during a fall or spring semester. Graduate teaching assistants working during a fall or spring semester will receive $4000 disbursed in four equal monthly payments. Adjunct Faculty - Graduate Nursing Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Master’s degree appropriate for the discipline or training and experience in the field to be qualified to teach specific courses. Terminal degree may be required for teaching graduate or doctoral courses. “Terminal degree” refers to the highest degree awarded in a discipline. The doctorate is the terminal degree for most disciplines represented at JSU.
