The duties of the University Student Assistant is to obtain work experience on campus in offices, labs, gym, the library, and other areas. Duties may include assisting staff and faculty with preparation for research, classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualification and departmental needs.
HVAC II Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.
Department Head, Sociology and Social Work Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department Head, Sociology & Social Work Program is the educational and chief administrator responsible for the Department and shall report directly to the Dean of the School, who is responsible to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs for the successful management of the Department. The Department Head provides vision, leadership, direction, and expert administration, and ensures the participation of faculty in teaching, research, publication, and community service. Coordinator, Scholarship Administration Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Coordinator of Scholarship Administration is responsible for the direction and coordination of all activities related to the University’s scholarship and awards programs. The Coordinator works in collaboration with academic and non-academic departments, including the Foundation Administrators and Financial Aid by ensuring optimum services are provided to students and that scholarship funds are appropriately awarded annually. The Coordinator also serves as a liaison to external agencies which provide scholarship opportunities to Jacksonville State University students.

The Financial Aid Counselor provides quality customer service to prospective, and continuing students regarding financial aid eligibility, analyze federal financial aid applications to determine a student's financial need, prepare and award financial aid packages, and perform all duties related to the financial aid process. Counselors must interact in a professional manner with students and parents in challenging situations to help them resolve financial issues relating to financial aid eligibility and monetary awards.

The Assistant Professor of English, Jacksonville State University. Full-time, tenure-track position to begin August 2019. Responsible for teaching speech, composition, and literature in area of specialization, according to department practice and policy; conduct scholarly research sufficient for tenure and advancement; engage in appropriate service. Qualifications: Ph.D. in English with specialization in Restoration and 18th Century English Literature by appointment date is required. Ability to teach composition required.
