The Department Head will articulate a shared vision that defines the departments’ standard of excellence, the directions of growth for the department, and the programmatic and interdisciplinary connections that are possible across the university. |

| The Coordinator for the Graduate School will serve as a point of contact for potential students, enrolled graduate students, university faculty and staff regarding graduate admissions and enrollment for Jacksonville State University. This position will serve as the primary recruiter for the Graduate School for all graduate-level academic programs and will collaborate with university departments to develop, implement, and evaluate for effectiveness all implemented graduate recruitment events. This position will work closely with the Graduate Enrollment Specialists to generate timely reports regarding admissions and retention trends. The Coordinator will engage with graduate students admitted to a JSU graduate program regarding resources, registration, payment deadlines, and so forth. This position will also work closely with the Dean of the Graduate School regarding retention protocols and communication strategies for continued graduate student engagement. |

| A Graduate Administrative Assistant (GAA) under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty and/or staff, as well as other academic support duties, and departmental operational needs, and other associated and clerical duties as assigned.
