The duties of a Graduate Administrative Assistant (GAA) in the Career Technical Education & Professional Studies Department under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty and/or staff with collecting, organizing, and analyzing various types of data or information, assist with special projects and other duties assigned by the unit’s supervisor and/or appropriate faculty and/or staff. Assistant Professor, Communication Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Department of Communication invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Communication, specializing in news broadcast production and broadcast journalism. This tenure-track position includes a 3:4 or 4:3 teaching load and 9 months of full-time service. Further, the position is for teaching undergraduate media production courses and requires teaching competencies in broadcast journalism, broadcast news studio production, multimedia production of news, and proficiency with contemporary media business models. We balance hands-on skills with an integrated approach to broadcast production in journalism and other forms of content creation. Special consideration will be given to those who can teach creative and experiential courses in broadcast news and media production. The ideal candidate’s research agenda should align well and inform the instructional focus in the program.
Assistant/ Associate Professor, Professional Counseling and Leadership Jacksonville, AL (CEPS Complex)
Jacksonville State University’s College of Education and Professional Studies is seeking to hire a scholar for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Professional Counseling and Leadership. The Heating/Air Conditioning Mechanic III performs master level work in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration, heating, and allied equipment. The Mechanic III services and maintains various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment according to established trade practices and under the direction of the HVAC Supervisor. Tasks are reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic III works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.
Professor, Graphic Design Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)

The University Student Assistant Campus Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for the enforcement of University Parking Rules and Regulations. Duties may include the issuing of parking citations to vehicles in violation of University Parking Rules and Regulations, unlocking of car doors, assisting motorist upon request, use of parking enforcement devices, police radio use, body cameras, and educating student and visitors to campus of the University Parking Rules and Regulations. The David L. Walters Department of Music at Jacksonville State University (Jax State) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Percussion for the Fall 2025 semester.
