Temporary Child Development Center Assistant Jacksonville (Main Campus), Jacksonville (School of Business & Industry Complex)
The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will obtain work experience on campus in the JSU Child Development Center. Duties may include assisting staff with preparation for classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games and manipulatives for the preschool class. In addition, the Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will work with individual and small groups of children to develop their emerging pre-reading and pre-math skills, self-help skills and social skills. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualification and departmental needs. Work hours will take place between 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. based upon availability of the Temporary Assistant.
Visiting Assistant Professor, Counseling and Instructional Support Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Visiting Assistant Professor, Counseling and Instructional Support is responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society. The position would include teaching courses in either Clinical Mental Health or School Counseling CACREP accredited programs. Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in graduate teaching. The teaching load is 4 courses in both Fall & Spring semesters. This position exists to provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening. Instructor may be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.

University Student Assistant: Transportation Office Graduate Assistant Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Transportation Office Assistant will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the JSU transportation systems. This position is best suited a first-semester graduate student looking to develop and improve their skills while working on their graduate degree. Tuition will be covered in under this role as well. This position will aid both the JSU Motor Pool and jsuRIDE teams by managing student workers, scheduling fleet reservations, monitoring the jsuRIDE system, working with campus stakeholders, building and maintaining accurate records on the different transportation areas, looking for process improvements, and other duties as assigned.
Assistant Coach, Beach Volleyball Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Assistant Volleyball Coach Part-time provides administrative, instructional, and recruiting support services under the direction of the head coach, with emphasis on Beach. Employment in this position is contingent upon compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA and Conference affiliation.
Graduate Administrative Assistant - Honors (Spring 2023) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Graduate Assistant will assist with special projects relating to the Honors Program. The duties include preparing newsletters, researching other schools in order to develop special and meaningful projects and programs, as well as preparing suggestions for improving current procedures. Position also includes assisting faculty, some academic support duties, and departmental operational duties. The GA will rotate with other staff members attending Honors Program meetings, which may include assisting after regular university hours, on weekdays, or on weekends during special events. Must also be willing to drive a 6 to 15 passenger van if needed.
Auxiliary Teacher (Pre-K) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The auxiliary teacher will assist with implementing a model Pre-K program for a group of children and provide support to the lead teacher with the following: planning and implementing appropriate activities for children, working with faculty and administration, working with families of young children, and modeling evidence-based practices in the classroom for early educator observers, graduate, and undergraduate students.
Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations is responsible for the creation of a holistic and collaborative approach to engaging corporate partners and foundations to support the university. The position will be responsible for the implementation of strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individuals, corporations, and foundations for major gifts to support campus-wide philanthropy. The Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations assists the Vice President for Advancement and Enrollment Management and Jacksonville State University leadership in conducting other development related business.
Associate Director, Scholarships Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Associate Director of Scholarships is responsible for the coordination of awarding all University aid, external scholarships, athletic scholarships, and Foundation scholarships. This position collaborates with academic and non-academic departments to ensure all scholarships are awarded appropriately and timely. The Associate Director of Scholarships will also serve as a liaison to the Foundation, Registrar’s Office, Student Accounts, and external scholarship agencies. Working closely with the Director of Financial Aid, this position will provide recommendations for scholarship awarding policies, procedural updates, and processing efficiencies.
Case Manager / Disability Specialist Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Case Manager / Disability Specialist is responsible for coordinating appropriate academic and other accommodations for students with disabilities. The Case Manager / Specialist works primarily with students who have learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, chronic medical conditions, psychological disorders, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. This Case Manager / Specialist is discreet and demonstrates a strong commitment to confidentially of student information. The Case Manager / Disability Specialist helps the Director with the development of policies and procedures to enhance services to students, as well as providing consultation and educational programming to the campus community. Provides administrative support to the department and oversees the assistive technology program, as needed.
ASIM Materials Inventory Clerk - PT Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The ASIM Inventory Clerk II will assist the Alabama Science in Motion specialists with receiving, storing, inventory, and care of science materials. The position also includes assembly, refurbishment, and delivery of science kits for use in grades 9-12. This is a grant funded position and is contingent on continued funding.
