The duties of the Federal Work Study Student Worker are to obtain work experience on campus in the JSU Child Development Center. Duties may include assisting staff and faculty with preparation for classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. The Student Worker will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games, and manipulatives for the preschool class. In addition, the Student Worker will work with individual and small groups of children to develop their emerging pre-reading and pre-math skills, self-help skills and social skills. The Bookkeeper performs clerical accounting duties in support of the overall functions of the Center for Economic Development. This position is responsible for performing standard bookkeeping duties in recording, reviewing, and processing financial records and documents. This position routinely preforms task independently; guidance is sought from administrative superior for new or extraordinary tasks or circumstances.
Groundskeeper/Laborer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Groundskeeper Laborer performs lawn and grounds work of an unskilled nature that will vary with the season. Responsibilities involve physical labor that is conducted mostly out of doors in all weather conditions. Tasks may occasionally include those on a semi-skilled level. Duties will be assigned in detail by an immediate supervisor and are subject to frequent inspection.
Assistant/Associate Professor - Professional Counseling and Leadership Jacksonville (CEPS Complex)
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Professional Counseling and Leadership is responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society. Accountant, Sponsored Programs Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Accountant, Sponsored Programs is responsible for performing routine accounting and budget reconciliations, and maintenance of General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization. Responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Grants accounting function and is responsible for processing all post grant awards. Responsible for timely completion of required quarterly and yearly financial reporting. Must maintain a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Uniform Guidance.
Counselor (CDCS) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Under the general direction of the Director of Counseling Services, the Counselor provides and coordinates direct services to students in the area of mental health support and referrals. Works closely with other departments in Student Affairs and partners with faculty, staff, and community agencies to ensure the provision of adequate mental health services to support student development, academic achievement, and student success.
