Jacksonville State University (JSU) is seeking to hire a Dean for the College of Business and Industry.
The Dean is the chief administrator of the College, responsible for providing academic leadership and fostering excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, and community engagement/service. He/she has responsibility for academic planning, including continuous evaluation of current academic programs, and developing short- and long-term goals for academic growth. He/she is responsible for administrative functions, including but not limited to, staffing, budgets, and facility management. The Dean positively represents the College and the University to all constituents and is active in advancement activities.

Candidates must possess a terminal degree along with three to five years’ experience as an academic administrator (e.g. director, department head or associate dean) and appropriate licensure, if applicable. This position has an anticipated start date of January 3, 2023.
