Job Summary:

Student Workers on Assigned Tasks (S.W.A.T.) are a valuable part of the University Housing and Residence Life team here at Jacksonville State University. S.W.A.T. is responsible for ensuring that any duties assigned to them are completed in a timely, efficient manner.

Essential Functions:

Student Workers on Assigned Tasks (S.W.A.T.) are a valuable part of the University Housing and Residence Life team here at Jacksonville State University. S.W.A.T. is responsible for ensuring that any duties assigned to them are completed in a timely, efficient manner.

Duties include, but not limited to:

1. Moving furniture to areas around campus
2. Inventory, organization and security of housing equipment and materials (Patterson and Sparkman Hall)
3. Trash rounds- picking up debris on campus grounds
4. Working outdoors in all weather conditions
5. All other duties as assigned based on overall maintenance of facilities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled as a JSU student
• May not be a dual-enrollment student
• Must meet the minimum credit hour requirements of the specific student employment program
• Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJSU.
• If not a first time student, applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher.
• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Due to Visa requirements international students must be enrolled as a full-time JSU student and possess each of the following:

5. Official Social Security Card imprinted with “Valid for Work Only” or similar statement.
