Adjunct Faculty Position, Economics

Academically, JSU offers 95 academic programs and concentrations, including bachelor's, master's, post-baccalaureate, doctoral and advanced certificate programs in a variety of disciplines that prepare graduates for meaningful careers and ongoing education. More than 40 online programs are offered. The University features seven schools on its 459-acre campus - Arts and Humanities; Business and Industry; Education; Health Professions and Wellness; Human Services and Social Sciences; Science and Library. Most academic programs have discipline-specific accreditations, a reflection of their quality and JSU’s commitment to excellence.
The Department of Finance, Economics, and Accounting within the College of Business & Industry consists of faculty who provide instruction, research, and service in their respective disciplines of finance, economics, accounting, statistics, real estate, and business law. We offer the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with majors in finance, economics, and accounting. The Department also offers a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in economics.
Adjunct instructors are needed to teach the introductory level economics courses required for all business majors. (EC 221 and EC 222). Experience teaching in-person or online is desired. A minimum of 18 graduate hours in economics is desired.

- Master’s degree appropriate for the discipline, or training and experience in the field to be qualified to teach specific courses.
- Experience with in-person, hybrid, or online instruction desired
- Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials.
- College or University teaching experience.
- Teaching and/or conducting action research either at K-12 or higher education levels
- Evidence of teaching excellence.
- Teaching experience.
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
