Clinical Nursing Instructor 

The School of Nursing of Jacksonville State University’s College of Health Professions and Wellness is seeking to hire a scholar for a Clinical Nursing Instructor.

The faculty member for Nursing is responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able, and responsible members of society. This position exists to provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening. Instructor may be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses, and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.

This position is for a non-tenured Instructor in the undergraduate nursing program with an anticipated start date of August 14, 2023. Applicants for this position must possess the following:

  • A master’s degree from a graduate institution of recognized standing or equivalent experience and professional recognition
  • Either demonstrated or presumptive potential for effective teaching and satisfying the duties and responsibilities of a faculty member
  • Credit for the minimum number of hours of graduate work required by the accrediting agency in the area of teaching responsibility
  • Current, unencumbered Alabama RN license
  • A valid driver's license
