8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday, some evening and weekends as needed

Job Summary:

The Academic Records Specialist is responsible for providing operational leadership and general supervision for coordinating transcripts, oversees scheduling, and verifies academic components with departments and organizations. Provides relevant training to departments relating to the schedule. Responsible for the maintenance of academic records and website, for personal contacts with students or general public in furnishing routine information, and interpreting policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing Transcripts, troubleshooting transcript issues, and serving as a liaison between the vendor and the student.
  • Coordinating the beginning of term set up for registration and schedule.
  • Audit schedule and adjust accordingly.
  • Tuition Assistance GPA verification
  • Student Life Organization GPA verification
  • Prepare reports as requested.
  • Create and host schedule end user training each term.
  • Serve as Waitlisting contact for departments.
  • Verify student merging authorizations
  • Update Website content
  • Provide transcripts to the Assistant Registrar for NCAA academic certifications
  • Assist by answering phones, processing in office transcript requests, processing in office enrollment certification letters, and answering general questions while maintaining compliance with FERPA.
  • Maintain and update incomplete completion plans and extension plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of higher education experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ellucian Banner
