Assistant Professor, Finance, Economics, & Accounting
The Department of Finance, Economics, and Accounting of Jacksonville State University’s College of Business and Industry is seeking to hire a scholar for an Assistant Professor.
The Assistant Professor, Finance Economics and Accounting is responsible for facilitating student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society. This position exists to provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening.
The College of Business and Industry is comprised of three professionally oriented academic areas - The Departments of Business, The Department of Communication, and The Department of Applied Engineering. The Departments of Business are The Department of Finance, Economics, & Accounting and The Lyons & Co., Inc. Department of Management & Marketing. The Departments of Business are accredited by AACSB. Our goal is to provide our students quality internships and employment opportunities. The department has academically diverse, teaching-oriented, full-time faculty members who provide instruction, research, and service in their respective disciplines of finance, economics, accounting, statistics, real estate, and business law. We offer the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with majors in finance, economics, and accounting. The Department also offers a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in economics.

This position is for a tenure track assistant professor with an anticipated start date of August 14, 2023. Applicants for this position must possess the following:
- Doctorate or terminal degree in Finance, or related field.
- Accomplishments sufficient to indicate the ability to meet requirements of the rank of Assistant Professor at JSU in teaching, service, and scholarly publications, including completing 18 hours of coursework in Finance.
