Director, Undergraduate Admissions Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions is a highly visible member of the campus community. They are expected to have a rich understanding of strategic enrollment management best practices, and a high level of initiative and motivation to achieve institutional goals, provide excellent customer service, and enroll qualified students. The Director of Undergraduate Admissions manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, including supervision and evaluation of all office personnel. The position also manages prospective student outreach, recruitment, evaluation, admission, and yield. The Director of Undergraduate Admissions leads and manages recruitment and admissions processes for dual enrollment, freshman (domestic and international), and transfer students, all undergraduate recruitment communications, the campus visit program, and office operations. The Director of Undergraduate Admissions is a key member of the Enrollment Management staff, which includes working closely with all areas of the institution and specifically with the Financial Aid Office, Registrar’s Office, and Marketing and Communications, etc.
Philanthropy Officer, Athletics (Football) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
Under the supervision of the Director for Athletics Philanthropy and the Jax State Athletic Foundation, the position of Athletics Philanthropy Officer is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive development program for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of major gifts to obtain operating, endowment, and capital funds for the Athletic Program, specifically focused on the football program; collaborates with the Athletic Director to help achieve overall development objectives for Athletics; at least 60% of the work schedule demands direct contact with qualified prospect or donor cultivation and solicitation. University Student Assistant - Sociology (Spring 2025) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The student who fills this position will be assisting a Sociology faculty member, Dr. Brianna Turgeon, with a research project. The Sociology Department is seeking a University Student Assist with interest in learning about the social science research process. The student assistant duties will involve transcribing (creating typed versions of audio recordings) research interviews conducted with Harry Potter fans and former fans to understand their identity and behavior change in the wake of J.K. Rowling's transphobic social media posts. Getting involved with the project also comes with future opportunities to work on the project for a combination of paid positions and academic credit during future semesters. Additionally, there will be opportunities to attend and present at conferences in the fall 2025 semester. This is a great experience for students interested in pursuing graduate school or applied work in the social sciences. Previous research knowledge/experience is an asset, but not required. The Art and Design Lab Monitor University Student Aid must be able to work nights and weekends to keep the lab opened and machines up and running in the Graphic Design Studios as well as in the Photo Labs. University Student Assistant - Environmental Health & Safety (Spring 2025) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Services Team Member plays a crucial role in protecting the environment, ensuring the safety of JAX STATE, and providing a healthy work environment. The EHS department is dedicated to keeping the university compliant with local, state and federal regulations. In this position, you will assist the EHS Manager with various tasks around campus to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Auxiliary Teacher (Pre-K1) Jacksonville, AL (CEPS Complex)
The auxiliary teacher will assist with implementing a model Pre-K program for a group of children and provide support to the lead teacher with the following: planning and implementing appropriate activities for children, working with faculty and administration, working with families of young children, and modeling evidence-based practices in the classroom for early educator observers, graduate, and undergraduate students. This position is a 9-month position, working 187 days per year.

The Department of Communication invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Communication, specializing in news broadcast production and broadcast journalism. This tenure-track position includes a 3:4 or 4:3 teaching load and 9 months of full-time service. Further, the position is for teaching undergraduate media production courses and requires teaching competencies in broadcast journalism, broadcast news studio production, multimedia production of news, and proficiency with contemporary media business models. We balance hands-on skills with an integrated approach to broadcast production in journalism and other forms of content creation. Special consideration will be given to those who can teach creative and experiential courses in broadcast news and media production. The ideal candidate’s research agenda should align well and inform the instructional focus in the program.

University Student Assistant - Safety Ambassador (Spring 2025) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The University Department of Public Safety’s mission is to provide professional, proactive, and community-oriented service and protection, through prevention of crimes and other hazards, enforcement of the law, and safeguarding the constitutional guarantees of all within the campus community. HVAC - Lead Technician Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The HVAC Technician Lead performs master level work in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration, heating, and allied equipment. The HVAC Lead Technician services and maintains various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment according to established trade practices. This position serves as the Lead Technician and is responsible for evaluating the skill set and providing hands on instruction to other HVAC technicians ensuring proper techniques and procedures.
