The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Jacksonville State University is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member and program chair for the Didactic Program in Dietetics. The faculty member/ program chair for Dietetics and Community Nutrition is responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able, and responsible members of society. This position exists to provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening. Instructor may be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses, and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.

University Student Assistant - The Chanticleer Section Editors (Fall 2023 & Spring 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The University Student Assistant/Chanticleer section editors help the editor-in-chief plan, manage, and supervise the coverage and publication of The Chanticleer, JSU’s student-run news organization, across all its platforms, which may include the web, social media, print and other forms of media. The section editors work with the editor-in-chief to ensure The Chanticleer provides timely, editorially independent coverage of events and issues that are important to JSU students and the broader university community.
Adjunct Faculty - Secondary Education (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Secondary Education needs adjunct instructors to fill a variety of roles. We need adjuncts to teach, online, hybrid, and on-campus. We also need adjuncts to serve as university supervisors for teacher candidates completing field experiences (practicum and internship). Adjuncts applying for the position of university supervisor must be able to work during the day and travel to schools.
Adjunct Faculty - History and Foreign Languages (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of History and Foreign Languages seeks Adjunct Faculty to teach survey(s) of U.S., World, or Western Civilization history, and conduct weekly office hours.  Courses are taught in person, hybrid, and/or online. Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree in a field appropriate to the discipline with at least 18 hours completed in graduate-level courses.  Transcripts submitted with the application must show these minimum qualifications. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for lectures, attendance, exams, grading and meeting university deadlines.
University Student Assistant - jsuRIDE Team Member (Summer 2023) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
As part of the jsuRIDE team, you will play a significant role in helping the campus community succeed each semester. This is a fast-paced role and requires attention to detail. Duties will include picking up students, faculty and staff at their requested time, managing ride requests, providing general appearance checks to the jsuRIDE fleet vehicles and any other duties as assigned.
HVAC II Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.

Manufacturing Center Specialist - Part Time Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Machinist Specialist will be responsible for producing precision parts, tools, and assemblies utilizing manual and CNC machines. This position requires a highly skilled individual who can work independently, read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and operate a variety of machine tools with precision.
Visiting Faculty, English Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of English seeks to hire non-tenure track Visiting Faculty at either the Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor level for the 2023-2024 academic year.  The Visiting Faculty member will teach a 5/4 load of composition, writing studios, speech, and/or literature surveys, as well as other courses needed by the department, and will conduct weekly office hours.  Applicants with experience teaching composition, developmental writing, speech, and literature surveys may be given priority.  Applicants with availability to teach in person on the JSU campus Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. will be given priority.
Federal Work Study - Office of Financial Aid [Fall 2023 - Spring 2024] Jacksonville (Main Campus)
This position for the Office of Financial Aid will assist with multiple facets of the office, primarily within the area of Financial Wellness. The position will aid the Assistant Director of Default Management and Financial Wellness.
GASP Camp Chaperone Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The duties of the GASP Camp Student Chaperone are as follows: Overnight: Stay in the dorms with campers 7:30pm-7:30am. Escort campers to breakfast. Supervise any activities and free time in the dorms. Day time: Assist your camp director with all needs and errands. Supervise students during breaks/ recreation time. Escort students from point A to point B.
Materials Handler II Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Materials Handler II in Capital Planning and Facilities performs a variety of tasks of a semi-skilled nature that involve both heavy and light physical labor. Acting independently or as part of a group, the Materials Handler II moves furniture, documents, fixtures, computers, boxes, and other objects from one location to another. Materials Handlers II may be the lead worker or supervisor over Materials Handlers I or student employees. Tasks will be reviewed while in progress and upon completion for compliance to instructions and policy.
