The Coordinator, Conference Services is responsible for leadership, coordination, and operations of conference services, supervising and training of student workers, and developing and implementing procedures and practices that support the overall growth of the student staff and campus visitors. The incumbent frequently work weekends, evenings, and is on call for emergencies.
Coordinator, Peer Mentoring Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Coordinator for Peer Mentoring will work collaboratively with the Director of First and Second Year Experience, administrators, faculty and students in promoting academic and personal achievement for students within a learning centered environment. Additionally, this individual must coordinate a comprehensive and collaborative campus wide effort to develop and implement programmatic initiatives designed to support the successful retention of first and second year students.
Custodial Maintenance III (Alternate Shift) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Custodial Maintenance III in Building Services performs housekeeping duties on the interior and exterior of buildings in addition to carrying or moving heavy equipment or supplies to different areas or buildings on campus. May use pesticides under close supervision and following special instructions on their use and safety. Complex duties may be assigned and a greater degree of independent judgment allowed. Instructions are received orally from supervisor. The Custodial Maintenance III may function as the lead worker with a small group of Custodial Maintenance I employees and Housekeepers.
HVAC - Lead Technician Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The HVAC Technician Lead performs master level work in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration, heating, and allied equipment. The HVAC Lead Technician services and maintains various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment according to established trade practices. This position serves as the Lead Technician and is responsible for evaluating the skill set and providing hands on instruction to other HVAC technicians ensuring proper techniques and procedures. The HVAC Mechanic III works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.
Assistant Director, Student Accounts Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Under general direction of the Assistant Controller, the Assistant Director in the Office of Student Accounts functions in the role of the Bursar and is responsible for confidential fiduciary, supervisory, and analytical tasks. The Assistant Director is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the cash handling responsibilities and refund processing, and functions of the Office to include student advisement relating to billing policies, payment options, and any other general concerns a student may have with their financial account. The Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Office of Student Accounts in the absence of the Assistant Controller of Student Accounts.

The Police Officer is responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and regulations of the university by performing police and patrol work in accordance with federal, state, county, municipal laws and university regulations. Work may involve personal danger and the use of independent judgment in responding to emergencies. This position may be assigned to day or evening shifts and may be called to work odd hours for special events or activities on campus. Work is frequently performed out of doors in all weather conditions. Work is performed under general supervision of the Police Sergeant and in accordance with established routine and is checked by superior officers through personal inspections, review of reports, and discussion with employees.
Assistant Professor, Theatre & Film (Scenic & Lighting Design) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Theatre and Film at Jacksonville State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor  beginning August 2024. Temporary Child Development Center Assistant Jacksonville (CEPS Complex)
The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will obtain work experience on campus in the JSU Child Development Center. Duties may include assisting staff with preparation for classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games and manipulatives for the preschool class. In addition, the Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will work with individual and small groups of children to develop their emerging pre-reading and pre-math skills, self-help skills and social skills. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualification and departmental needs. Work hours will take place between 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. based upon availability of the Temporary Assistant.

Assistant Professor, Art & Design (Art Historian) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Jacksonville State University's Department of Art & Design invites applications for a tenure-track position in Art History beginning in October 2023. The teaching expectation is four courses per semester (4/4 teaching load). Courses to be taught by the candidate include one of the two Surveys of Art (ART 111, ART 112), Art Appreciation to serve the university's core curriculum, as well as advanced courses in the candidate's field of specialization and secondary fields. The candidate will have the opportunity to teach classes at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
