Instructor, Accounting

Jacksonville State University's Department of Finance, Economics and Accounting invites applications for an instructor of accounting position.

The instructor of accounting is responsible for facilitating student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able, and responsible members of society. This position exists to provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening.

The instructor will teach a 4/4 load and will engage in service activities.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in a field appropriate to the discipline to be taught. Accomplishments sufficient to indicate the ability to meet requirements of the rank of Instructional Practitioner at Jax State in teaching and service are also required.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume or CV, teaching philosophy and all earned unofficial transcripts to be considered for the position.  Official transcripts will be required upon hire.

This nine-month, non-tenure track position has an anticipated start date of August 1, 2027.

Writing consultants should have a good understanding of grammar and mechanics as well.
