University Student Assistant - Parking Services Office Assistant (Fall 2025 - Spring 2026)

$8.25 per hour (Max 26 hours per week)

Position Summary: 

The duties of the University Student Parking Services Office Assistant are to facilitate smooth Parking Office operations assisting Parking Services Supervisor with various business and record keeping tasks while handling the customer service needs of the office environment.

Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs.

Adheres to all department and University policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Parking Services Supervisor with various business and record keeping tasks.
  • Provide Customer Service to the front office.
  • Departmental Operations.
  • Administrative Operations.
  • Additional tasks as required by the department.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student taking at least three (3) hours per fall or spring semester. (Requirements for international students below. *)
  • If not a first-time student, the applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher.
  • Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJSU.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Access databases.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in an office environment that can be very busy.
  • Self-motivated.
