Job Summary: As part of a holistic strategic effort to support at-risk adult learners and transfer students, this position provides individualized student support programming efforts that centers around learning strategies and academic skills. The Learning Specialist functions to ensure assigned students understand assignments in their courses, help them to develop an organizational system that will facilitate success in their courses, assists students in areas where there are some cognitive deficiencies, and helps coordinate with assigned academic counselors, tutors, Disability Resources, and other Student Success Center Team members to guarantee the students receive proper academic assistance. |
