Interested in being a student tour guide? The Gamecock Student Tour Guides administer daily tours to potential students and families, along with university employees and partners! As a front facing student leader, the Gamecock Guides are expected to uphold university branding standards, both on and off the clock, while being able to confidently illustrate one’s university knowledge. Gamecock Guides may be required to work event days such as Admitted Student Days, Preview Days and undergo mandatory team training. When not administering a tour, the Gamecock Guides will be assisting with daily administrative tasks such as answering calls, emails, and providing excellent customer service practices.

Federal Work Study - Anthropology (Fall 2025-Spring 2026) in Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
Anthropology holds a large number of site reports, photographs, data, and artifacts from more than 40 years of fieldwork by JSU archaeologists. The duties of the Anthropology Federal Work Study Student will assist faculty in digitizing and cataloging these collections so that we can preserve the legacy of this heritage for future Alabamians.

University Student Assistant - English Department - Writing Center (Fall 2025-Spring 2026) in Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
Writing consultants have the opportunity to hold interactive writing appointments with student writers from all disciplines on various writing projects such as essays, speeches, proposals, multimodal projects, etc. Consultants must understand the structure of topic sentences, thesis statements, paragraphs, and essays along with essay knowledge. Writing consultants should have a good understanding of grammar and mechanics as well. Knowledge in various rhetorical modes and types (e.g. literary reviews, analyses, blogs, websites, presentations, etc....) is beneficial. Consultants will develop key skills such as communication, cooperation, and leadership. Consultants will also have the opportunity to specialize in types of writing and citation styles. Students will complete and submit bi-weekly timesheets.

Lead Teacher (Infant - 3 Years Old) in Jacksonville, AL (CEPS Complex)
The lead teacher will implement a model infant - 3 year old classroom for a group of children and provide support to the director with the following: planning and implementing appropriate activities for children, working with faculty and administration, working with families of young children, and modeling evidence-based practices in the classroom for early educator observers, graduate, and undergraduate students.
