As part of a holistic strategic effort to support at-risk student athletes, this position provides individualized student support programming efforts that centers around learning strategies and academic skills. The Lead Learning Specialist functions to ensure assigned students understand assignments in their courses, help them to develop an organizational system that will facilitate success in their courses, assists students in areas where there are some cognitive deficiencies, and helps coordinate with assigned academic counselors, tutors, and other Student Athlete Academic Support Team members to guarantee at-risk student athletes receive proper academic assistance.
Circulation Assistant Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Under the supervision of the Library User Services Supervisor, the Circulation Assistant provides patron/customer services work of a clerical and technical nature providing assistance in using the resources of the library. This position has extensive contact with the patrons, faculty and staff and works with a variety of library automated systems. Circulation Assistants work with some independence. Problems, exceptions or new procedures will be explained and/or handled in cooperation with supervisor.
Admissions Processor Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Admissions Processor is responsible for processing undergraduate student applications and required application documents. The Admissions Processor will also assist the processing team with preparing and disseminating application-related communication to students. This position works directly with the Lead, Admissions Processor and other processing staff to ensure applications are processed in a timely manner. This position reports to the Director, Undergraduate Admissions in the Office of Admissions.

The AMSTI Site Director is a 12 month employee of Jacksonville State University, with compensation defined by the Salary Matrix for AMSTI Directors. Responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Grants accounting function and is responsible for processing all post grant awards. Groundskeeper Lead Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Groundskeeper Lead performs lawn and grounds work of a semi-skilled nature that will vary with the season. Responsibilities involve physical labor pertaining to maintenance of grounds and installation of shrubs, trees, flowers, and other landscaping flora. Work will be conducted mostly out of doors in all weather conditions. The Groundskeeper Lead knows how to safely operate motorized equipment and hand/power tools. Tasks will be assigned in detail by an immediate supervisor and are subject to frequent inspection.
Police Officer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Police Officer is responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and regulations of the university by performing police and patrol work in accordance with federal, state, county, municipal laws and university regulations. Work may involve personal danger and the use of independent judgment in responding to emergencies. This position may be assigned to day or evening shifts and may be called to work odd hours for special events or activities on campus. Work is frequently performed out of doors in all weather conditions. Work is performed under general supervision of the Police Sergeant and in accordance with established routine and is checked by superior officers through personal inspections, review of reports, and discussion with employees.
