Writing consultants have the opportunity to hold interactive writing appointments with student writers from all disciplines on various writing projects such as essays, speeches, proposals, multimodal projects, etc. Consultants must understand the structure of topic sentences, thesis statements, paragraphs, and essays along with essay knowledge. Writing consultants should have a good understanding of grammar and mechanics as well. Knowledge in various rhetorical modes and types (e.g. literary reviews, analyses, blogs, websites, presentations, etc....) is beneficial. Consultants will develop key skills such as communication, cooperation, and leadership. Consultants will also have the opportunity to specialize in types of writing and citation styles. Students will complete and submit bi-weekly timesheets.

Adjunct Faculty - Teacher Education (Spring 2026) Jacksonville, AL (CEPS Complex)
The Department of Teacher Education is seeking adjunct faculty members to serve as supervisors for candidates completing field and clinical experiences (practicum and internship). Adjuncts applying for the position of university supervisor must be flexible and able to travel to placement sites, as well as knowledgeable in the use of technology for reviewing video and submitting documentation. We also seek adjuncts to teach courses in the program areas of Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, and Secondary Education (English Language Arts, General Science, General Social Studies, and Mathematics). These courses are offered in-person, hybrid and online with experience in all three instruction methods preferred, but not required.
HVAC II Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.

Part-Time Lead Teacher (Infant - 3 Years Old) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The part-time lead teacher will implement a model infant - 3 year old classroom for a group of children and provide support to the director with the following: planning and implementing appropriate activities for children, working with faculty and administration, working with families of young children, and modeling evidence-based practices in the classroom for early educator observers, graduate, and undergraduate students.
