Job Summary:

Facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society.  Provide educational services to traditional and nontraditional students during the day or evening.  Establish and maintain effective relationships with students and peers.  Communicate clearly, positively, and in a timely manner with students, staff, and colleagues, both orally and in writing.  Management professionals and eagerness to engage with students, faculty, staff and administrators to develop ways to improve the educational experience of students.  Advise students.  Serve on committees at the program, department, and university level, and fulfilling Internship Coordinator Role.  Manage multiple demands and responsibilities.  Recruit internship mentors and sponsors.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate (PhD) in Communications. Courses taught by position: COM 415, Mass Communication Research; COM 205, Intro to Broadcast Writing; COM 302, Intro to Audio Production; COM 320, Video Production and Editing; COM 315, Intro to News; and COM 410, Media Features.
