Job Summary:

The Director of Transfer Pathways have operational responsibility in the development, review, and renewal of transfer pathway agreements with higher education institutions as well as business/industry partnerships to increase the enrollment of transfer and post-traditional students.

Essential Functions:

  • Directs university-wide outreach efforts to enhance enrollment initiatives including collaboration collaboration with schools/college, business/industry leaders, faculty, administrators, and development of university transfer initiatives and university partnerships
  • Oversees the creation and implementation of new pathways and partnerships, including but not limited to, transfer programs between JSU and community colleges and enrollment partnerships with businesses/industries
  • Works with key university leaders and partners to oversee and advise on transfer initiatives and business partnerships
  • Develops, reviews, and revises MOUs, articulation agreements, pathway programs, and assist as needed with business and higher education partners
  • Advises and proposes solutions to enrollment management leadership on issues that may create barriers to students’ seamless transitions to JSU
  • Assesses student satisfaction on an ongoing basis and works quickly to resolve concerns/problems
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with administrative contacts at other institutions of higher education as well as business/industry partners
  • Maintains a report on the status of all MOUs, partnerships, pathways and college articulation agreements and works with department chairs to manage articulation programs
  • Works with academic advisors to develop a seamless experience for the transfer and post-traditional/adult learner population
  • Maintains transfer enrollment, retention and graduation data as well as post-traditional enrollment, retention and graduation data
  • Utilizes research, best practices, and data to suggest potential transfer pathways and business/industry partnerships
  • Serve as the primary recruiter for post-traditional students/adult learners through business/industry partnerships
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • At least three (3) years of prior higher education, partnership development, employer relations, enrollment, recruiting, and/or significant leadership experience
  • Valid Drivers' license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in higher education leadership or related field
  • Prior experience in higher education environment
