Normal Work Schedule:

8:00 a.m–4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday


Teach courses within Math Education concentration area on campus, off-campus, remote online courses and possible videoconferencing. Responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society. Develop and implement a program of instruction that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of their students and is consistent with the university, SACS accreditation, and state study and curriculum guides. Employ a variety of instructional learning strategies and activities. Communicate to students in regards to instructional expectations, student progress, or lack of progress and actively participate in and work with the university personnel in planning effective instructional goals, objectives, methods, and curriculum. Document student progress by maintaining and submitting approximate records and reports. Conduct research and engage in professional, university, and community service. Participate in professional growth and development actives, including staff meetings, in-service, and staff development actives, in addition to other extra-curricular actives. Fulfill faculty responsibilities as stated by institutional and departmental policy and as assigned by the department head.


 Doctorate (PhD) in Mathematics Education, or related. 2 years of postsecondary teaching experience.
