Coordinator, LRC Facilities and Conservation Fort Payne (Little River Canyon Center)
Under the direction of the Director of EPIC, the Coordinator of LRC Facilities and Conservation coordinates and assists in directing operational activities related to maintenance, repair, custodial care, minor construction, alterations, and management of the grounds, buildings and other physical facilities of the Little River Canyon (LRC) Center. This position ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and University policies and procedures. The Coordinator also oversees, executes, completes, and inspects all the LRC construction and renovation projects.
Instructor, Social Work Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Instructor of the Social Work Program, provides educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening; teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in Social Work; and may be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.
Director, Faculty Commons Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Director, Faculty Commons provides leadership and vision for the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at Jacksonville State University. This individual is directly responsible for developing strategies, services, and support for faculty and instructional staff that promote effective teaching practices and, indirectly, student success. The Director will facilitate collaborative initiatives with academic and support units across campus that foster best practices in teaching and learning.

HVAC II Mechanic Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-days.
Visiting Assistant Professor, Geography Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Visiting Assistant Professor, in the School of Science provides educational services in the department of Geosciences to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening. The Visiting Assistant Professor may be required to teach Geography and GIS courses on campus, off-campus, and online courses depending on need of the department and location.
Graduate Administrative Assistant - Library - Graphic Design - FALL 2018 Jacksonville (Main Campus)

The Graduate Teaching Assistant performs a combination of duties under the supervision of the faculty and lab supervisor, including, but not limited to assisting in the preparation and clean-up; logging in and processing course materials, assignments, papers and internship materials; some research related tasks, classroom instruction (3 hrs minimum); as well as other academic support duties, departmental operational needs, and other associated, and clerical, duties as assigned. Assist students in the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) Tutoring Center or at a campus satellite tutoring center. Clerical assistants are responsible for checking students in and out of Grades First and running weekly reports. All clerical assistants must have good communication skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Temporary Clinical Associate Jacksonville (Main Campus)
This is professional nursing work in assisting the faculty of the School of Health Professions and Wellness in preparing and presenting material to nursing students. This position is responsible for assisting faculty in instructing and evaluating students and provides individual assistance to students when required.
Assistant/Associate/Full Professor-Social Work Jacksonville (Main Campus)
This 9-month tenure track faculty position is responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service within the BSW and MSW social work degree programs in a variety of settings to include, but not limited to on campus in a traditional classroom setting, hybrid courses and online courses. This position requires development and implementation of a program of instruction that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students and is consistent with the university, SACS and CSWE accreditation, as well as state study and curriculum guides. Assistant Professor, Chemistry Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Chemistry and Geosciences at Jacksonville State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2018. Applicants with expertise in areas of biochemistry are encouraged to apply. All candidates must have a doctorate degree in Ph.D in Chemistry by the time of appointment.
