University Student Assistant - Multimedia Instructional Laboratories (Fall 2021 - Summer 2022) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
In general, the University Aid for the Multimedia Instructional Laboratories (MIL) is to have a physical presence that is humble, helpful, and friendly in one of the three computer labs in Ramona Wood Building. Rooms 105, 210, and 309 comprise the MIL. The MIL is open to all JSU students when it is not scheduled for a class. The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. The University Aids work up to 20 hours per week on a schedule that meets the needs of the labs and conforms to class schedules. The University Aids are provided with the schedule for each of the labs. The Aids sit a workstation in front of the rows in room 210. This gives the Aid access to a computer, the print release station, a phone, and the equipment room.
Federal Work Study - Instructional Services Unit America Reads (Summer 2021 - Spring 2022) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The duties of the Federal Student Worker are to obtain work experience on campus, in local P-12 schools, and via online virtual platforms. Duties may include assisting staff and faculty with preparation for Prek-6th grade reading activities, tutoring local PreK-6th grade students in the area of reading instruction, and other support duties as required. The Federal Student Worker will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games, and manipulatives for tutoring sessions. In addition, the Federal Student Worker will work with individuals and small groups of Prek-6th graders to assist in increasing student achievement in reading. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs. Tutors will attend mandatory training sessions and required workshops, be flexible and available to work outside of their class schedules, must be dependable and punctual for scheduled appointments, complete tutorial reports in a timely manner, and work well with Pre-k-6th grade students in the area of reading instruction. Additionally, tutors must be willing to work with a diverse student population.

Temporary Police Officer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Police Officer is responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and regulations of the university by performing police and patrol work in accordance with federal, state, county, municipal laws, and university regulations. Work may involve personal danger and the use of independent judgment in responding to emergencies. This position may be assigned to day or evening shifts and may be called to work odd hours for special events or activities on campus. Work is frequently performed out of doors in all weather conditions. Work is performed under general supervision of the Police Sergeant and in accordance with established routine and is checked by superior officers through personal inspections, review of reports, and discussion with employees.

Coordinator, International House & Study Abroad Program Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Coordinator, International House & Study Abroad Program will assume multiple roles providing assistance and support to the Director for tasks related to International student’s retention, programming activities, the study abroad program, community relations, and campus wide internationalization efforts. This position will also provide administration, supervision, educational development, and counseling for International and American students residing in the International House. The employee must be on-call and available after normal working hours for residents of the International House. This is a 12-month position with summer duties required. Housing in the International House is negotiable.
