Police Officer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Police Officer is responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and regulations of the university by performing police and patrol work in accordance with federal, state, county, municipal laws and university regulations. Work may involve personal danger and the use of independent judgment in responding to emergencies. This position may be assigned to day or evening shifts and may be called to work odd hours for special events or activities on campus. Work is frequently performed out of doors in all weather conditions. Work is performed under general supervision of the Police Sergeant and in accordance with established routine and is checked by superior officers through personal inspections, review of reports, and discussion with employees.
Adjunct Faculty - Biology (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Biology at Jacksonville State University (JSU) invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. Our undergraduate program offers concentrations in General Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Environmental Biology, Marine Biology, Organismal Biology, and Pre-Health Professions. Instructors are needed to teach in-person introductory courses for biology majors and the general education curriculum.
Assistant/Associate Professor - Instructional Leadership Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The College of Education and Professional Studies at Jacksonville State University invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor, Instructional Leadership. The Assistant/Associate Professor of Instructional Leadership is responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors relevant to the field of instructional leadership. The professor will be required to teach courses within his/her discipline, or related field.
Temporary Child Development Center Assistant Jacksonville (CEPS Complex)
The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will obtain work experience on campus in the JSU Child Development Center. Duties may include assisting staff with preparation for classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games and manipulatives for the preschool class. In addition, the Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will work with individual and small groups of children to develop their emerging pre-reading and pre-math skills, self-help skills and social skills. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualification and departmental needs. Work hours will take place between 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. based upon availability of the Temporary Assistant.
Adjunct Faculty - Kinesiology (Fall 2023 - Summer 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Kinesiology is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach courses in the program areas of Health & Physical Education, Exercise Science & Wellness, Public Health, Dietetics & Nutrition, Athletic Training, and Sport Management & Recreation Studies at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. These courses are offered in-person, hybrid and online with experience in all three instruction methods preferred.

Adjunct Faculty - Secondary Education (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Secondary Education needs adjunct instructors to fill a variety of roles. We need adjuncts to teach, online, hybrid, and on-campus. We also need adjuncts to serve as university supervisors for teacher candidates completing field experiences (practicum and internship). Adjuncts applying for the position of university supervisor must be able to work during the day and travel to schools.
Adjunct Faculty - English (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of English seeks Adjunct Faculty to teach composition, writing studios, speech, and/or literature surveys, as well as other courses as needed , and conduct weekly office hours.  Courses are taught in person, hybrid, and/or online. Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree in a field appropriate to the discipline with at least 18 hours completed in graduate-level English courses.  Transcripts submitted with the application must show these minimum qualifications. In addition to their qualifications and experience, the cover letter must address the applicant’s availability to teach in person on the JSU campus Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Assistant Professor - Social Work Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Assistant Professor in the Social Work Program, provides educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening, possibly weekends; teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in Social Work along with research and other scholarly work, as well as service;
