Position Summary: The Education Program Assistant-Temporary is primarily responsible for the administration (teaching) of science-based environmental educational and conservation programs and courses through the JSU Office of Strategic Partnerships and Special Projects and JSU Field Schools. Other responsibilities include the development of curriculum and programming. All activities are through primary coordination with FS Director and Assistant Director. Work is periodically reviewed for adherence to department/division goals and effectiveness of results. Reports to the Assistant Director of JSU Field Schools. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively teach environmental education and outdoor education curriculum to students Pre-K-12th grades, college, and adults. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching for field trips and other events at the Little River Canyon Center. They must be innovative with students and curriculum. |
