The Department of Applied Engineering of Jacksonville State University’s College of Business and Industry is seeking to hire a scholar for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Applied Engineering. The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Department of Applied Engineering provides educational opportunities and experiences to traditional and non-traditional students. The faculty member will teach graduate and undergraduate level courses in Applied Engineering with a focus in industrial automation and mechanical design along with applied research. The candidate will be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on-campus and online.
Assistant/Associate Professor of Teacher Education, English Language Arts Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The primary responsibilities of the Assistant/Associate Professor of Teacher Education, English/Language Arts includes serving as the English Program Chair and teaching departmental courses, including but not limited to methods, foundations, and clinical supervision (including EdTPA). Financial Aid Call Center Supervisor Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Call Center Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Call Center. This position will supervise all staff within the Call Center, including: full-time, part-time, and student staff. The supervisor will ensure the delivery of quality customer service to all callers. This position will report to the Associate Director of Communications and will provide call reports, as specified by the Associate Director. The Call Center Supervisor will also respond to escalations that are generated from other staff. This position will also coordinate and conduct all outbound call lists as directed by the Associate Director.

This role is tasked with ensuring the University’s annual budgets are aligned with the University’s strategic initiatives, assisting in the development and implementation of plans and strategies to fulfill the mission and vision of the University, and oversees the institutional processes for the Master Plan, operational and capital budgets, financial systems and policies.  This position also provides oversight of the university's endowment and investments and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and laws.

Assistant Professor, Master's in Athletic Training Program Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Assistant Professor, 3rd core faculty for the Master’s in Athletic Training program, is responsible for didactic and clinical instruction in the MAT (graduate-level) and various HPE (undergraduate-level) courses within the Department of Kinesiology such as biomechanics, therapeutic intervention, general medicine and pharmacology. The primary responsibility is to the MAT program and its athletic training students. This position will assist the MAT Director and Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) in the comprehensive implementation, operation, and function of the MAT program as needed as well as the Department of Kinesiology as needed.  The preferred applicant will have a doctorate in the field of Kinesiology or related field.  Terminal degree must be obtained within one year of hire date.  Athletic training certification is also required. The position has an anticipated start date of August, 2022.
Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Graduate Nursing Jacksonville (South Complex)
The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Department of Nursing provides educational opportunities/experiences to traditional and non-traditional students. Scholarly teaching is an expectation within doctorate and graduate level courses in Nursing along with doctoral level research (oversight and management of DNP Scholarly projected which may include advanced data analysis). The faculty member is required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and with possible videoconferencing depending on need.  The faculty member is required to maintain a clinical practice with his/her specialty area.  This position is a hybrid position and requires extensive online engagement with students and often on campus visits for diverse university functions as mandated by the administrative team. The faculty member is expected to work collaboratively with the Director of Graduate Nursing Programs to facilitate desired student outcomes. This tenure track position requires possession of a Doctorate in Nursing or a related field.  Applicants must be certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and/or certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse.  Applicants must also possess a current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse Practitioner.  Finally, applicants must also possess a current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner with FNP and AGACNP certifications to practice in the state of Alabama or be eligible for an Alabama nursing license.
Assistant Professor, Music Education Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Assistant Professor of Music Education has responsibilities in teaching undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Music Education, Elementary Music Materials and Methods, and Secondary Choral Music Materials and Methods in addition to supervising practicum students and interns. Graduate teaching of courses such as Foundations of Music Education is also required. and graduate vocal/choral music education courses, and supervising practicum students and interns.  This position will provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening.
