Job Summary
The Applied Engineering Department within Jacksonville State University's College of Business and Industry is seeking an adjunct faculty member to instruct in-person courses in computer-aided design (2D) and advanced computer-aided design (3D).

Academically Jax State offers 101 academic programs and concentrations, including bachelor's, master's, post-baccalaureate, doctoral and advanced certificate programs in a variety of disciplines that prepare graduates for meaningful careers and ongoing education. More than 40 online programs are offered. Department Information
A department within the College of Business and Industry, the Department of Applied Engineering offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Applied Electronics Engineering, Applied Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Leadership, and Occupational Safety and Health Management.
In addition, the Department of Applied Engineering offers a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Systems Technology.

At JSU, we prioritize the excellence of our applied engineering programs and we achieve this through small classes taught by faculty, high faculty-student interaction, and an emphasis on the industrial application of engineering theory.
Required Qualifications
- A master’s degree appropriate for the discipline or training and experience in the field to be qualified to teach specific courses.
- A terminal degree may be required for teaching graduate or doctoral courses. “Terminal degree” refers to the highest degree awarded in a discipline. The doctorate is the terminal degree for most disciplines represented at JSU.

- Doctoral degree in appropriate discipline.
