Clinical Nursing Instructor Jacksonville, AL (South Complex)
The School of Nursing in Jacksonville State University’s College of Health Professions and Wellness invites applications for an Instructor of Clinical Nursing. This non-tenure-track faculty member will be expected to teach courses and clinical in upper division nursing specifically Foundations of Nursing Practice. The successful candidate will be innovative with a strong interest in teaching students through active learning pedagogy and will demonstrate aptitude and inclination for engaging students in the classroom, clinical, lab, and simulation environment.
HVAC II Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.

The Housekeeper II in Building Services performs routine cleaning of interior spaces and the immediate exterior area. Work assignments are primarily indoors and under close supervision.

The Painter II performs journeyman level painting and the finishing of surfaces of buildings and other structures and equipment in accordance with standard practices of the trade. University Student Assistant - Supplemental Instruction (Fall 2026 - Spring 2027) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an academic support program that targets historically difficult courses. SI sessions are regularly scheduled, out-of-class review sessions for all students enrolled in a targeted course. The sessions are informal seminars in which students review notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools, and prepare for examinations. Students learn how to integrate course content with reasoning and study skills. SI sessions are conducted by a student leader who has successfully completed the course, attends the course, and works with the professor to design collaborative learning sessions for the students to attend on a voluntary basis. SI leaders support classroom instruction in every way. Likewise, the SI program is offered only in classes where the faculty member understands and supports Supplemental Instruction. Federal Work-Study (FWS) Students in the Learning Resource Center support instructional initiatives, literacy development, and daily operations of the Center. Students gain hands-on professional experience through tutoring, instructional support, customer service, and resource management while contributing to a welcoming, organized, and student-centered learning environment. The University Student Assistant - Mimosa Graphic designer’s duties are to lay out and design the Mimosa using creative cloud software on a MAC computer. The Graphic Designer will also work with other programs such as InDesign and Photoshop. University Student Assistant - Randy Owen Center Grand Opening Greeter/Usher Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
University Student Assistants supporting the grand opening of the Randy Owen Center for the Performing Arts will play a key role in delivering a smooth, welcoming, and well-organized event experience for all guests. Responsibilities include preparing event spaces, assisting with crowd management, scanning tickets, supporting concessions, and providing exceptional guest service. Team members will also assist with setup and cleanup, move signage and stanchions, stock materials, and perform light custodial duties. Working closely with event management, staff will serve as a primary point of contact for guest assistance while ensuring all performances operate efficiently from start to finish. Attendance at training and participation in scheduling meetings are required.

The Groundskeeper Laborer performs lawn and grounds work of an unskilled nature that will vary with the season. Responsibilities involve physical labor that is conducted mostly out of doors in all weather conditions. Tasks may occasionally include those on a semi-skilled level. Duties will be assigned in detail by an immediate supervisor and are subject to frequent inspection.
