As a member of the WLJS student staff, the program director works closely with the other student staff members and with the director of student media. The program director must be or become familiar with the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics and use the code as a guide. The program director also must be or become familiar with FCC requirements pertaining to WLJS’s broadcast license and help ensure compliance with those requirements from the student staff.

The duties of the Federal Work Study Student are to obtain work experience in the accounting department. Duties may include basic office tasks such as filing, answering telephones, processing mail, greeting, and assisting visitors, etc. Other support duties may include scanning journal and ledger entries, fact checks, data entry.
