Associate Director, Financial Aid Compliance Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Associate Director of Financial Aid Compliance will coordinate compliance with all Federal Student Aid regulations regarding the administration of federal and institutional financial aid funds. The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will obtain work experience on campus in the JSU Child Development Center. Duties may include assisting staff with preparation for classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games and manipulatives for the preschool class. In addition, the Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will work with individual and small groups of children to develop their emerging pre-reading and pre-math skills, self-help skills and social skills. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualification and departmental needs. Work hours will take place between 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. based upon availability of the Temporary Assistant.

The HVAC Mechanic II works at the journeyman level to perform service and maintenance on various refrigeration and air conditioning installations and equipment. Tasks are completed according to established trade practices under the direction of a senior level HVAC mechanic or the HVAC supervisor, and is reviewed for compliance with instructions and adequate completion. The HVAC Mechanic II works rotating shifts; special situations or emergencies may necessitate reporting on a scheduled off-day.
Graduate Teaching Assistant - Biology Department (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
A Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) assists faculty by teaching lower-level courses or labs; developing teaching materials; and preparing and grading examinations, papers, or other student work. The GTAs must be assigned to and responsible for teaching a credit bearing course and will be under the supervision of a faculty member experienced in the teaching field. A GTA’s work with students will be closely supervised and must provide opportunities to gain teaching skills and a better grasp of the academic discipline. The supervising faculty member is responsible for overseeing the assignment of all grades to students in the courses. Stipend: $4,000 paid in 4 monthly installments over the course of a fall or spring semester or paid in 3 monthly installments over the course of a summer semester. Max of 20 hours per week for total of 16 weeks on a monthly pay cycle. In addition to a stipend, graduate assistantships carry a scholarship of 6-9 semester hours of graduate tuition and the general university fee. Positions will be filled based on individual applicant’s skills, qualification, and departmental needs. Temporary Clinical Associate (Spring 2024) Jacksonville (South Complex)
This is professional nursing work in assisting the faculty of the School of Health Professions and Wellness in preparing and presenting material to nursing students. This position is responsible for assisting faculty in instructing and evaluating students and provides individual assistance to students when required.

Assistant Professor, Art & Design (Art Historian) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
Jacksonville State University's Department of Art & Design invites applications for a tenure-track position in Art History beginning in October 2023. The teaching expectation is four courses per semester (4/4 teaching load). Courses to be taught by the candidate include one of the two Surveys of Art (ART 111, ART 112), Art Appreciation to serve the university's core curriculum, as well as advanced courses in the candidate's field of specialization and secondary fields. The candidate will have the opportunity to teach classes at both undergraduate and graduate levels. There is ample opportunity and enthusiasm for the candidate to develop their own course content and to contribute to the ongoing development of the Art History curriculum, including cultivating the Art History concentration.
