Job Summary

The discipline of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences needs adjunct instructors for general education courses (MS100, MS110, MS112, MS113, MS204). We offer a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with three concentration options. We also offer service courses and prerequisites for other programs across campus. We are seeking applicants to provide in-person, hybrid, and/or online instruction. Teaching experience is desired.

Department Information

The Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Computer Information Systems (MCIS) is one of the most diverse and dynamic of all the departments at Jacksonville State University. We offer bachelor of science degrees and minors in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems and master of science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Systems and Software Design.

We have a long tradition of excellence in teaching, dedication to our students and a solid background in state-of-the-art research. Students wishing to study in MCIS can be assured that they will receive a broad-based, quality education that will serve them well throughout their careers.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate field and at least 18 hours credit in graduate mathematics courses
  • Experience with in-person, hybrid and/or online instruction.
