Position Summary:
This position supports event operations and guest services by ensuring a smooth, organized, and welcoming experience for all patrons. The role requires attendance at training sessions and participation in scheduling meetings. Responsibilities include preparing event spaces; moving stanchions and signage; stocking publications; and performing light custodial duties to maintain a clean environment. The position manages crowds and supports events before, during, and after performances, including ticket scanning, concessions assistance, and using ticketing software to sell, exchange, and process returns both in person and over the phone, as well as preparing ticket orders for mail or will call. Working closely with volunteers and event management, the individual serves as a primary point of contact for guests, providing information, assistance, and support throughout each event, while also assisting with setup and cleanup to ensure efficient operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
House Management Duties Include:
- Most shifts are 4-6 hours long between 11:00am-11:30pm.
- Work during evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
- Must attend training.
- Move stanchions and signage, stock publications, and other light custodial duties.
- Prepare event spaces and manage crowds prior to, during, and after each performance.
- Ticket scanning.
- Concessions.
- Work closely with volunteers and event management to help guests and run each performance.
- Serve as a point of assistance and information for guests on-site.
- Assist with set up, clean up, and attend scheduling meetings.
Ticket Office Duties Include:
- Most shifts are 4-5 hours long, taking place between 9:00am-8:15pm.
- Work during evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
- Must attend training.
- Using ticketing software to sell, exchange, and return tickets both in-person and over-the-phone.
- Prepare ticket orders for mail or will call.
- Move stanchions and signage, stock publications, and other light custodial duties.
- Serve as a point of assistance and information for guests on-site.
- Assist with set up, clean up, and attend scheduling meetings.
Both positions may perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student taking at least three (3) hours per fall or spring semester. (Requirements for international students below. *)
- If not a first-time student, the applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher.
- Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJaxState.
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must have attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Must work well with deadlines.
- Must contribute as a member of a team.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Applicants who cannot attend training or require extended periods of leave will not be considered.
- Applicants who can work the entire season will be given priority in hiring.
