Coordinator, Honors Program Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The program coordinator assists the Honors Dean in coordinating and providing a solid structure for an expanding Honors Program. Under the direct supervision of the Dean, the program coordinator serves to advise and support Honors students and plays a supporting role in the admission and recruitment of qualified high school and current JSU students to the Honors Program. This position will also collaborate with academic departments in scheduling Honors classes and recruiting new Honors faculty. Moreover, the program coordinator will also work with other student services offices such as Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Housing, Career Development Coordinators, International Programs, and Alumni Relations to ensure the needs of Honors students are met. The program coordinator also maintains student records, helps coordinate learning experiences and Honors speakers, maintains relations with Honors alumni and collaborates with marketing and communication to develop and support program marketing efforts.
Visiting Assistant Professor, Theatre & Film (Scenic & Lights) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Theatre and Film at Jacksonville State University invites applications for a full-time, visiting position as an Assistant Professor  beginning August 2024. Adjunct Faculty - English (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of English seeks Adjunct Faculty to teach composition, writing studios, speech, and/or literature surveys, as well as other courses as needed , and conduct weekly office hours.  Courses are taught in person, hybrid, and/or online. Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree in a field appropriate to the discipline with at least 18 hours completed in graduate-level English courses.  Transcripts submitted with the application must show these minimum qualifications. In addition to their qualifications and experience, the cover letter must address the applicant’s availability to teach in person on the JSU campus Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The General Maintenance employee performs skilled work in repairing, renovating, and maintaining University buildings, primarily residence halls and University-owned apartments. General Maintenance duties include electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. This could be a supervisory position with one or more student workers.
Groundskeeper Lead Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Groundskeeper Lead performs lawn and grounds work of a semi-skilled nature that will vary with the season. Responsibilities involve physical labor pertaining to maintenance of grounds and installation of shrubs, trees, flowers, and other landscaping flora. Work will be conducted mostly out of doors in all weather conditions. The Groundskeeper Lead knows how to safely operate motorized equipment and hand/power tools. Tasks will be assigned in detail by an immediate supervisor and are subject to frequent inspection.
Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The discipline of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Geosciences needs adjunct instructors for General Chemistry courses (CY 105 and CY 106) and Chemistry lectures and oversees the College Chemistry Labs (CY 107 and CY 108). These courses make up the introductory level chemistry or Gen. Chem courses and their respective labs. We offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with three concentration options. General Chemistry I and II are required for all of these tracks. We also serve as service courses and prerequisites for other programs across campus. We are seeking applicants to provide in-person, hybrid, and/or online instruction. Experience teaching in a traditional classroom setting is desired. Graduate Teaching Assistant - Kinesiology (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
A Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty with various lab related tasks, performing classroom instruction, as well as other academic support duties, and departmental operational needs, and other associated and clerical duties as assigned. Associate Director, Financial Aid Compliance Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Associate Director of Financial Aid Compliance will coordinate compliance with all Federal Student Aid regulations regarding the administration of federal and institutional financial aid funds. This position will coordinate routine sampling of student financial aid files to ensure compliance with regulations, will coordinate and oversee fund reconciliation procedures, and will be responsible for overseeing all technical processes. This position will also be a liaison to Information Technology Services and will review and test all Banner upgrades/patches in coordination with the Director of Financial Aid.
Police Officer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Police Officer is responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and regulations of the university by performing police and patrol work in accordance with federal, state, county, municipal laws and university regulations. Work may involve personal danger and the use of independent judgment in responding to emergencies. This position may be assigned to day or evening shifts and may be called to work odd hours for special events or activities on campus. Work is frequently performed out of doors in all weather conditions. Work is performed under general supervision of the Police Sergeant and in accordance with established routine and is checked by superior officers through personal inspections, review of reports, and discussion with employees
