The University Student Assistant provides an essential service to the University community and its various constituencies by operating the University’s switchboard consoles by answering, transferring, and directing incoming local and long-distance calls and referring questions to the proper office or person in a courteous and professional manner. Additional duties include assisting Faculty, Staff, Students, and the General Public with requests for call transfers, directions to locations on or off campus, and other such tasks. Team members will ensure operational policies are maintained for all Game Day areas to include stadium, parking lots, vehicles, tailgates, suites, and club levels. The Hospitality Services team also serves as the liaison between donors, caterers, maintenance staff, custodial staff, athletic department personnel, parking services, transportation, management, and hospitality staff. Hospitality Services members love serving others, aim to go above and beyond, and know how to have a good time while ensuring fans enjoy their time while on the JAX STATE campus.
