Federal Work Study - Finance & Administration/Office of Student Accounts (Spring 2026 - Summer 2026) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The duties of the Federal Work Study Student are to obtain work experience in the accounting department. Duties may include basic office tasks such as filing, answering telephones, processing mail, greeting, and assisting visitors, etc. Other support duties may include scanning journal and ledger entries, fact checks, data entry. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs. **Must be eligible for Federal Work Study. University Assistant - Summer Camp & Conference Assistant (CA) (Summer 2026) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
A Summer Camp & Conference Assistant (CA) is a thirteen-week summer student position working with a variety of camp and conference groups. A CA will work as a part of team designed and trained to provide excellent customer service to camp/conference directors and participants. This position is a “live-on” position that requires each employee to live in on campus housing during employment. These staff members must live in assigned areas and perform the required duties. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs. Adheres to all department and University policies and procedures.
Football Content Creator Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Football Content Creator will work closely with members of the athletic administration, coaches, marketing, and media relations in developing content that tells the story of Jacksonville State football, student-athletes, and the University. The Football Content Creator is responsible for creating strategies in order to enhance the Jacksonville State football brand across all digital mediums. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing the football program’s recruiting strategy while also engaging the fan base on various social media pieces. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for creating individual content for football student-athletes, and explore and implement the emerging strategies to enhance content production.
Specialist, Sports Information Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Sports Information Specialist assists in the development and distribution of various publications for men's and women's sports programs, writes press releases, takes sports action photos, assists in game-day operations, updates the Athletics web site, and assists the Associate Director for Media Relations with public relations activities within intercollegiate athletics, and serves as a liaison between intercollegiate athletics and the media as required. Employment in this position is contingent upon compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA and Conference affiliation.
Dual Enrollment Academic Coordinator Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Dual Enrollment Academic Coordinator is part of a Dual Enrollment team that includes faculty and staff in both Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management who work together to run one of the largest and most successful Dual Enrollment programs in the state, including all DE professional development, events, and accreditation efforts. The Coordinator is responsible for creating new and maintaining existing academic partnerships and relationships with high schools, school systems, the Alabama State Department of Education, and other stakeholders in Jax State’s Dual Enrollment (DE) program. This includes regular visits to partner high schools for schedule planning, student success, advising, and memorandum of understanding (MOU) signings, etc. The Coordinator works with the Director of Graduate and Accelerated Programs and the Associate Vice Provost to make the DE schedule of classes, including in-person classes on partner high school campuses and online classes. Because of their regular visits to partner high schools, the Coordinator assists in recruiting new DE faculty, who are then vetted, credentialed, and onboarded by the academic departments with assistance from the Director of Graduate and Accelerated Programs. The Coordinator works closely with high school administrators to provide needed data throughout the academic year, partner school annual reports, and professional development as needed, and plans the annual partner school luncheon. The Coordinator oversees all aspects of DE academic honors, probation, and the student success program, including the supervision of all DE Academic Counselors. The Coordinator also advises DE students and plans events through Jax State’s JSTEAM program. This position requires some travel and occasional evenings and weekends.
