Job Summary:

The Maintenance Inventory Clerk II in Capital Planning and Facilities performs routine work in the operation of a maintenance stock room.  This includes manual and clerical tasks in the receiving, storing, inventorying, and care of supplies, parts and other tools and equipment required for the maintenance department of the University.  Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives incoming materials, supplies, parts, and equipment purchased by the university.
  • Checks requisitions and packing lists for agreement.
  • Places items received on storage shelves and arranges items by type or category
  • Checks inventory levels of items to ensure that proper levels are maintained. 
  • Drives university vehicles to locations on campus to deliver materials, and to off campus locations to pick up items ordered.
  • Assists delivery trucks drivers in unloading materials or supplies received.
  • Assists the supervisor with the coordination with vendors, the delivery of all material orders placed by the Department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma.
  • Some experience in stockroom work.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

University Student Assistant - Safety Ambassador (Fall 2026 - Spring 2027)

The University Department of Public Safety’s mission is to provide professional, proactive, and community-oriented service and protection, through prevention of crimes and other hazards, enforcement of the law, and safeguarding the constitutional guarantees of all within the campus community. The University Student Assistant, while on duty, within their assigned campus residential areas, these uniformed safety ambassadors will be responsible for: Conduct basic foot and scooter patrols in areas of Housing. Build positive relationships within residential community life. Proactively address potential safety issues (DPS Operational Plan, 2023, Goal 2). Conduct lighting, door, fire extinguisher, automated external defibrillator checks, and monitor security cameras. Engage with members of the campus community to provide transportation directions, information about the Cocky Watch Program. Serve as a liaison from residents to police in addressing public safety concerns . Provide escorts at night, assist motorists, work events with large crowds, and conduct traffic control. Support first responders on calls for service. Additional duties as required by the department. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs. Adheres to all department and University policies and procedures.
