Job Summary: The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, performance, and recoverability of mission-critical databases that support academic, administrative, and research operations. This role is responsible for the oversight of data flows into the reporting environment to support operational needs, with a primary focus of Oracle database administration hosted both on-premise and in the cloud. In addition to core database administration, the DBA performs installations, upgrades, and software-level administration for ERP database packages and departmental enterprise applications, including those modules running on Tomcat or other supported servers. The role focuses on maintaining operational continuity for systems managed by the Enterprise Information Systems department. Collaboration with IT teams and functional departments is essential to support data integrity, compliance, and integration with third-party systems. This position also plays a key role in advancing data governance and supporting analytics initiatives across campus. |
