Up to 45,671.00, Commensurate with Experience  


Normal Work Schedule:

8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, some evenings and weekends may be required


Essential Functions:

• Serves as a technical administrator of the web server computer system. Consults with other system administrators as necessary to ensure smooth operation of the system.
• Creates, develops, implements, and maintains the technical architecture of the university’s websites, and supports existing infrastructure.
• Serves as a consultant to University stakeholders in planning, designing, and maintaining Web site/web pages to ensure design, style, and content uniformity.
• Designs, builds, or maintains web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.
• Supports the university’s goal of ensuring ADA and other regulatory compliance of the university’s website.
• In close collaboration with the Marketing Department, ensures Web pages reflect the marketing and public relations goals of the university and university branding.
• Provides training, support, and technical assistance to assigned departmental Web authors ensuring consistency across the university’s web pages.
• Designs and implements web site security measures such as firewalls or message encryption.
• Maintains existing web applications and tests web applications units and systems.
• Designs and implements user-driven templates, icons, images, databases, and interfaces that are used consistently within the website.
• Identifies and utilizes appropriate tools to track usage statistics on the university website.
• Ensures cross-browser, cross-platform pages, and DHTML compatibility.
• Recommends and implements performance improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Art/Design, or other related field. Formal technical education and related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
• Five years of related experience is required
• Proven working experience in web programming and web publishing
• Web programming knowledge with experience scripting languages such as html, JavaScript, PERL, PHP
