Job Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions is a highly visible member of the campus community. They are expected to have a rich understanding of strategic enrollment management best practices, and a high level of initiative and motivation to achieve institutional goals, provide excellent customer service, and enroll qualified students.
The Director of Undergraduate Admissions manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, including supervision and evaluation of all office personnel. The position also manages prospective student outreach, recruitment, evaluation, admission, and yield.
The Director of Undergraduate Admissions leads and manages recruitment and admissions processes for dual enrollment, freshman (domestic and international), and transfer students, all undergraduate recruitment communications, the campus visit program, and office operations. The Director of Undergraduate Admissions is a key member of the Enrollment Management staff, which includes working closely with all areas of the institution and specifically with the Financial Aid Office, Registrar’s Office, and Marketing and Communications, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements comprehensive student recruitment plans for undergraduate students which include, but are not limited to, the following components: development of an inquiry pool through the use of student search services, outreach (college fairs and high school visits), high school, community college and 4-year institution relationships, use of a CRM system and other technologies, campus visit programs, print and electronic publications, and communication plans.
- Provides leadership, management and support for the recruitment efforts by developing a productive and effective staff by hiring, developing and supervising, directly and through delegation, the administrative, professional, student, and clerical support personnel in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Coordinates effectively with academic and administrative units across campus and external constituents to promote and ensure a seamless recruitment, admission, and enrollment experience for undergraduate students.
- Effectively utilizes the University's student databases by developing a working knowledge of those systems, assessing the systems support needs of the Undergraduate Admissions Office, and working cooperatively with the staff of Information Technology, Institutional Effectiveness, and other offices on campus to ensure that the integrity of the systems and data are maintained and that the systems are utilized productively in support of admission and recruitment functions.
- Develops data-driven recruitment strategies by effectively utilizing data from a variety of sources to evaluate student characteristics and trends.
- Manages an assigned recruitment territory carrying out all functions, communications and events associated with the recruitment plan in the assigned territory.
- Ensures the efficient processing of undergraduate admission applications by developing and administering policies, procedures, and systems that provide quality admission services for prospective and admitted students.
- Effectively administers the University's admission procedures and policies and other applicable policies by supervising and providing leadership to the staff responsible for applying these policies and ensuring that decisions are rendered in accordance with these policies.
- Adheres to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules as communicated by the Athletic Director and/or Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance.
- Creates clear standards, policies, and procedures for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Facilitates partnerships with external vendors/agencies related to admissions/recruiting, including collaboration with the International House and Programs team to assist international recruiting partners with international admissions information.
- Contributes to the overall success of Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Management by advising and assisting the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management in all aspects relating to the recruitment and admission of students and by performing all other essential duties as assigned.
- Works collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications to design effective print, email, text, and social media platforms to recruit a new class of students.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- At least five (5) years successful experience in student recruitment, admissions, or external university relations
- Valid drivers' license
- Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report inquiry
