The Senior System Administrator is the lead in systems administration, installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software in a diverse multi-platform server environment.  Understands complex relationships between components of the overall systems architecture. Has vast knowledge of operating system internals, file system structures and machine architectures, working experience with UNIX system administrator tools, UNIX shell scripts and scripting languages. Exercises considerable independent judgment in carrying out the work and is responsible for achieving objectives.
University Student Assistant - University Advancement (Fall 2022 - Spring 2023) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The duties of the University Student Aid is to obtain work experience on campus in offices, labs, gym, the library, and other areas. Assistant Scientific Lab & Lab Safety Coordinator Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Assistant Scientific Lab and Lab Safety Coordinator position requires strong foundational knowledge in biology and biological lab techniques in order to organize and prepare academic labs for multiple courses and to implement and monitor lab protocols that protect the health and safety of students, staff, and faculty. The position requires professionalism in working with faculty, graduate teaching assistants, students, and external entities. This position will require the successful candidate to work independently with minimal guidance and instruction from the Scientific Lab and Lab Safety Coordinator, faculty or the department head. The assistant coordinator will be familiar with complex equipment and its maintenance and repair needs. Work will be reviewed while in progress and upon completion for compliance to procedures. The assistant coordinator will directly report to the coordinator and department head and will be evaluated by the department head.

Graduate Administrative Assistant - Student Success Center Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The duties of the Graduate Administrative Assistant, under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty and/or staff, as well as other academic support duties, and departmental operational needs, and other associated and clerical duties as assigned. This position acts as a peer success coach in the Student Success Center and meets with students to assist them with academic support needs. The GAA administers the Life 101 assessment, collects pre/post data and provides interventions for Life 101 according to students' scores.
Loan Collections Officer Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Loan Collection Officer works to collect overdue monies such as bad checks, student loans, promissory notes, and student or any account for JSU. Contacts delinquent accounts via telephone, email, or mail to request payments to bring the account to a current status.  With the direction of the Assistant Director, Bursar, assists customers/students with terms to secure payments for the past due amount, or establishes an alternative payment plan, recommends accounts to be turned over to collection agencies or for litigation; prepares report of historical data to substantiate action to be taken.   Attempts to locate customers/students who cannot be found at listed telephone number or address.  Maintains documentation on all collection activities and recommends accounts for charge off.  Assists students with other service problems as may be appropriate.
University Student Assistant - Assistant Residence Life Coordinator Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The University Student Assistant/Assistant Residence Life Coordinator position is a 12 month live on graduate student staff position with Housing Operations and Residence Life. This position reports directly to the Residence Life Coordinator, Director of Residence Life, or Director of Housing Operations. The responsibilities of this position includes assisting the direct supervisor in community development initiatives, encouraging a positive living environment for residents, special projects, assisting with events such as but not limited to preview day, reporting and filing, move-in, on-call responsibilities, training, supervision of students, residence life activities, programs, and special task.
Visiting Instructor, Biology Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Instructor, in the College of Science and Mathematics provides educational services in the Department of Biology to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening. The Instructor may be required to teach biology courses on campus, off-campus, or online depending on needs of the institution.
Public Safety Services Supervisor Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Public Safety Services Supervisor is a non-sworn position with responsibility for the supervision, administration, and enforcement of university parking rules and regulations with additional safety, security, and public safety support coordination responsibilities.  Work includes the protection of life and property primarily through providing mostorist assistance, escorts, and the enforcement of university parking regulations to include managing all aspects of the parking system. Duties also include limited protective work in the guarding and securing grounds and facilities against loss or damage; monitoring and inspecting grounds and facilities safety and security procedures, regulations, and enforcement, and providing public safety logistics support. This position will assist university other safety/security and police officers upon request. Work may involve the use of independent judgement in responding to emergencies. Work is frequently performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Employee may be assigned to day or evening shift and may be called to work odd hours for special events or activities on campus. Work is performed under general supervision and in accordance with established routine and guidelines checked by personal inspections, review of reports, and discussions with supervisor.
Coordinator, International House & Study Abroad Program Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Coordinator, International House & Programs will assume multiple roles providing assistance and support to the Director for tasks related to International student’s retention, programming activities, the study abroad program, community relations, and campus wide internationalization efforts.  This position will also provide administration, supervision, educational development, and counseling for International and American students residing in the International House.  The employee must be on-call and available after normal working hours for residents of the International House.  This is a 12-month position with summer duties required. Housing in the International House is negotiable.
Lab Assistant, College of Health Professions and Wellness Jacksonville (South Complex)
The Lab Assistant is responsible for assisting in the Skills and Simulation Lab of the College of Health Professions and Wellness in preparing and presenting material to clinical students; assists in the preparation and clean-up of Labs as instructed by the Director; and may provide individual assistance to students when required.

Coordinator, Graduate Studies Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Coordinator in Graduate Studies will serve as a point of contact for potential students, enrolled graduate students, university faculty and staff regarding graduate admissions and enrollment for Jacksonville State University. This position will serve as the primary recruiter for Graduate Studies for all graduate-level academic programs and will collaborate with university departments to develop, implement, and evaluate for effectiveness all implemented graduate recruitment events. This position will work closely with the Graduate Admissions Specialists to generate timely reports regarding admissions and retention trends.  The Coordinator will engage with graduate students admitted to a JSU graduate program regarding resources, registration, payment deadlines, and so forth. This position will also work closely with the Dean of Graduate Studies regarding retention protocols and communication strategies for continued graduate student engagement.
