Visiting Assistant Professor, Music (Percussion) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The David L. Walters Department of Music at Jacksonville State University (Jax State) invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Percussion for the spring 2025 semester. Primary duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied percussion, percussion studio, percussion ensemble, and class percussion. Other responsibilities include recruiting and maintaining a quality percussion studio. The department offers undergraduate programs of study in Music Education, Music Performance, and General Music. In addition, the department offers graduate programs in General Music and Music Education. At least 18 graduate hours in the discipline are required.
Coordinator of Sponsored Programs Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Coordinator of Sponsored Programs ensures the university is compliant with internal and funder policies as applied to funded contracts, grant awards, sub-awards, and subcontracts. Develops Principal Investigator/Project Director training and checklists to support Institutional policies and procedures. Coordinates with faculty, staff, administrators, and sub-recipients to provide program-related documentation for reports and audits (i.e., time and effort certification, invoices, etc.). Verifies all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely fashion. Assists Associate Director and Senior Director with managing Faculty Research Grants. Develops newsletters for marketing the Office of Sponsored Programs. Serves as a liaison between Project Directors/Principal Investigators and external funders and other departments on campus such as Finance and Administration, the Controller’s Office and Human Resources. Coordinates purchases, payments, and budget adjustments for the office. Coordinates outreach opportunities and professional development for faculty and professional staff. Collaborates with the Associate Director on monthly and annual reports. The Coordinator of Sponsored Programs also supports the Pre-Award functionality of the unit by developing and checking budgets, proofreading, editing and assisting with writing grant proposals, interpreting guidelines, coordinating meetings with potential grant proposal partners, and supporting the Associate Director and the Senior Director as they develop grant proposals and applications.
Supervisor, HVAC Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The Supervisor, HVAC is a leadership position that supervises employees performing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) repair, replacement, and general maintenance on a variety of HVAC and water plant equipment. In coordination with crews, the Supervisor, HVAC plans, inspects, and assigns job schedules to restrict disruption of campus schedules and inconveniences.  May assist subordinates in the performance of certain tasks when needed.
Graduate Teaching Assistant - Physics (Spring 2025) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)

Additionally, tutors must be willing to work with a diverse student population.
